A Summer Success: The Erdmann Institute for Enrollment Leadership
Honoring the legacy of longtime dean of admission and enrollment at Rollins College (FL) David Erdmann, the inaugural Erdmann Institute for Enrollment Leadership took place on the shores of bucolic Sebago Lake at Migis Lodge in Maine. The Erdmann Institute was created as a partnership between Tommy Adams, Assistant Head of Enrollment at Mercersburg Academy,TABS, and The Enrollment Management Association, with a goal to advance knowledge, skill, leadership, and community among senior and mid-career independent school admission professionals. Forty-four admission professionals attended this new institute and had nothing but rave reviews for the retreat.
Tommy serves as the director of the Institute, and works closely with the Erdmann Advisory Council, made up of six admission directors from across the country, as well as members from the TABS and The Enrollment Management Association staff, to guide curriculum development and programming. David Erdmann’s commitment to mentoring admission professionals, his belief in data-driven decision making, and his reminder that collaboration among schools is key formed the foundation of the new Erdmann Institute. The Erdmann Advisory Council is already hard at work on the 2016 program (June 12- 15), and online registration will be open in early fall.

“I would rate this as the single most energizing and informative professional development exercise that I have participated in in the past five years.”
