EMA and NAIS Announce Groundbreaking DASL Data Collaboration

The Enrollment Management Association (EMA) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) are excited to announce a groundbreaking new DASL (Data and Analysis for School Leadership) partnership. This collaboration will provide our members with the industry's highest standard for enrollment management benchmarking data.
Beginning with data collection this summer and in the early fall, our DASL partnership will ultimately align enrollment management data used within schools and across the sector while maximizing the resources and expertise of each association to improve service to all schools.
Together, we'll engineer the DASL enrollment management data to independent school enrollment leaders' specific, comprehensive needs by seeking their input on the DASL questions and data-entry fields.
DASL data will also help fuel EMA's dynamic new Admission.org School Search, saving EMA members time by consolidating school profile data entry.
Please read through our FAQs below for more information.
How will I input and access DASL data?
All schools will input data directly into the DASL system. EMA member schools that aren't NAIS members will receive NAIS/DASL login credentials. In time, the data will flow into EMA’s system and we are exploring robust reporting options.
Is there an additional charge for EMA member schools that aren't NAIS members?
No. The NAIS DASL data collaboration is a value-added benefit of your school's EMA membership.
Can I still access my school's historical data?
Yes, EMA member schools will continue to access their historical data in our system. If your school is also an NAIS member, you will retain access to your historical NAIS data.
How will the DASL enrollment management questions change?
EMA and NAIS are working together to update the enrollment-management-related questions with insight from an advisory council of enrollment management leaders. NAIS has surveyed all schools and associations active in DASL and drafted updates for the next reporting cycle.
When can I access the new DASL enrollment management data?
The data entry period will run from June through mid-October 2025. EMA and NAIS member schools will gain access to your data and begin benchmarking and reporting in DASL for November 2025.
