SSAT Online Practice Enhanced to Support Students
The Official Online SSAT Practice has undergone a massive content overhaul to support students' preparation. All practice tests, section tests, and quiz questions now feature explanations for every possible answer after students make their initial selections.
"We view the role of assessments such as the SSAT as offering more than a barometer of student learning," said Robyn Lewis, vice president of product strategy at the Enrollment Management Association. "By explaining why each answer is correct or incorrect, SSAT practice can play a more significant role in supporting students' recognition of concepts they are demonstrating and helping them understand material where they're still developing."
As part of this update, section tests and quizzes have been refreshed with new questions and answers.
"Students who have previously studied with SSAT Online Practice will now encounter new questions, answers, and explanations," Lewis said. "This aspect is particularly noteworthy for middle-level schools working with students on secondary school counseling and preparations.
"We also believe these enhancements will help parents provide guidance when students are studying at home, get stuck, and call them in to help.
"Looking at the bigger picture, updating practice to supplement the learning that occurs through SSAT preparation goes hand-in-hand with last fall's score report enhancements. Together, more thorough SSAT preparation and a more detailed score report provide schools a clearer picture of where students are in their development so they can support incoming students better."
