David's track record of strategic leadership and achievement in admissions crosses three independent schools. He currently oversees enrollment and financial aid at Bentley School in Oakland, CA; he has previously managed admissions at The College Preparatory School (CA) and Woodside Priory School (CA). His admissions and financial aid experience is founded upon nearly a decade in undergraduate admissions roles at Vanderbilt University (TN) and Stanford University (CA), where he was responsible for international admissions and STEM recruitment. David believes that admissions work touches and influences every single branch of independent schools—a unique position within the ecosystem—and enjoys building bridges across departments. Mining data in order to share the narratives within independent school enrollment is a particular passion of his.
David was a member of the inaugural ADI cohort in 2016. He is also a long-term steering committee member for the Bay Area Admissions Director group, a consortium that brings together independent high schools in Northern California. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, David holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University (TN).
