How is EMA Supporting Gender, Race, and Ethnicity Preferences? How Does EMA Support an Inclusive Community?

EMA remains committed to creating an inclusive community for our members, families, and students. Starting August 1, 2022 families and students can select expanded options for non-binary gender, race, and ethnicity in addition to earlier changes made with the introduction of the Mx. prefix options. We received guidance from outside experts and aligned with US Census and National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) standards for the collection of the data to improve consistency with national standards.
