Director of Character Assessment Programs

The Director of Character Assessment Programs is responsible for leading the organization in developing and delivering character assessment products, product enhancements and product redesign. Manage all aspects of assigned projects from development of the business case to sign-off by thorough quality assurance, including scheduling, resource management, internal and end-user training, and supporting documentation. Coordinate all phases of new product development, including research, pricing, proposition and marketing.

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department of a dynamic non-profit organization with an ambitious strategic plan. The controller will provide overall financial management assistance to the CFO, prepare financial statements and year-to-date data analyses and reports, and oversee the general ledger (GL) to ensure that project costs are coded properly. The controller will review all journal entries and oversee the payroll and accounts payable functions and have two direct reports.

The controller will manage accounting operations, institute and maintain internal controls, and serve as financial management resource to programmatic and operational staff on all levels. The controller will lead process improvement efforts to streamline and find efficiencies to improve accounting control and administrative operations. The Association utilizes Salesforce and Concur A/P solutions and the controller should be able to use these systems to optimize their use.
