Internal Marketing: Removing the Silos - Presentation

Internal Marketing: Removing the Silos - Presentation

With Erin Corbett,Director of Admission, The Ethel Walker School, CT & Vivian Elba, Director of Marketing & Communications, The Ethel Walker School, CT

Despite the current economic climate, families continue to transition to independent schools. It has become increasingly important for independent school administrators to collaborate to ensure that a consistent message is given about the school’s mission by Admission, Development, and curricular and co-curricular endeavors. Operating in “Silo Mode” is no longer effective and interdepartmental synergy must be cultivated and nurtured in order to maximize and sustain meaningful exposure for the school. In this workshop, the presenters outline and illustrate the model used at their school where such a collaborative approach has resulted in increased admission and development activity. Discussion focuses on the opportunities and limitations of various approaches and provides participants with some take-home ideas.
