W. Dennis Facciolo, Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management, Tampa Preparatory School, FL
Kevin Plummer, Head of School, Tampa Preparatory School, FL

In many independent schools, the head’s office and the admission office are often at the crossroads of controversy. But why? The next generation of heads and admission directors should foster a new working posture that generates debate, collaboration, and cultivates mental courage. The mandate for all heads of school, be they new or seasoned, should guarantee that the admission director is not insulated from heated debate, controversies, or the inner workings of the boardroom. Controversy, in other words, can be one of our best teachers.
