Managing China - Presentation

With Martin Milne, Vice President, ASSIST (CT); Peter Frew, Director of Admissions, The Taft School (CT); Stanley Xu & Brian Ong, Co-Founders, Taurus Education (China) & Tim Simpson, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, Bullis School, Potomac, MD

China has rapidly become a primary market for independent schools, providing opportunities for both day and boarding schools to increase diversity, enroll bright and talented international students, and recruit tuition-paying candidates. But how can a school effectively manage and evaluate this vast pool of applicants? Presenters will discuss strategies for student recruitment and applicant evaluation techniques in China; provide some insight into the expectations and goals of Chinese families for their children attending independent schools; and demonstrate how day schools can enter this market and build a program to support Chinese and other international students.
