The State of the Independent School Admission Industry
The goal of The Enrollment Management Association’s biannual survey of independent school admission directors is to determine the industry’s current state and future needs and, when applicable, to compare the results across survey years. This trailblazing research has provoked national significant dialogue on the changing conditions of, and expectations for, independent school admission and enrollment professionals. In addition, results have provided illuminating insight into the structure, process, and enrollment operations of the independent school admission office—as well as the significant challenges faced by many schools to reach their enrollment goals. This presentation provides enrollment leaders with key findings and themes from our research.
Session #1: SAO Training
HAIS and The Enrollment Management Association (EMA) have partnered to offer the Standard Application Online (SAO) free for all HAIS member schools. The SAO allows students & parents to complete a single, secure online application form. They can request transcripts and teacher recommendations online, and then select schools to which they wish to send that application information. This relieves students & parents from having to complete and submit multiple application forms, and also relieves teachers from having to write multiple references for a single student.
Schools can use the HAIS Standard Application Online as a plug and play application, or even take advantage of seamless data integration offered by a number of popular Student Management Systems.so that the data from a student’s SAO can be imported directly into the school’s existing enrollment management software. Join this session to learn more about how to get started using the SAO as a part your admission process.
