Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, Providence Day School (NC)
Cecil Stodghill is Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at Providence Day School. He joined PDS in 2010. Stodghill has more than 25 years of experience in higher education and independent school administration. Prior to his appointment at PDS, Stodghill served as Multicultural Affairs Director and Assistant Director of Boarding Admissions at his alma mater, McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN; Associate Director of Admission at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, FL; and a Graduate Support Director at Academy Prep Foundation in St. Petersburg, FL. During his tenure in independent schools, Stodghill also has served as a head coach for basketball and track and field, assisted in curriculum development for an upper school social justice course, "Poverty 101," as well as curriculum development and facilitation of "Freedom Ride: An Experiential Tour of the Modern Civil Rights Movement.” He has been a presenter and workshop facilitator at the National Association of Independent School (NAIS) “People of Color Conference” and NAIS School and Student Services conference, the Serving and Accrediting Independent Schools (SAIS) Athletic Directors Conference, the Enrollment Management Association and many others. Stodghill also completed the NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring Heads program at the organization's 2017 annual conference. Stodghill received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Miami, and a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
