Director of Admissions, St. Francis School (KY)
Kisha is currently the director of admissions at St. Francis School in Kentucky. After graduating from Williams College, she began working at Thayer Academy (MA), where she served as a middle school science and English teacher, as well as in various roles in the admission and diversity offices. She then became associate director of admission and director of multicultural recruitment at The Taft School (CT), followed by a position as the dean of admission at Cushing Academy (MA). Kisha is actively involved in the wider independent school community: For the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools, she has served as diversity commissioner and chair of the Student Diversity Conference; for the National Association of Independent Schools, she is a longstanding member of Call to Action, a think tank and advisory council on diversity, has served as co-chair of the People of Color Conference, and is a faculty member for the School Leadership Institute; for the Association of Independent Schools of New England, she is chair of the Students of Color Conference. Kisha has continued her own education by taking education administration courses and participating in the US/Africa Sister Cities Conference in South Africa and the NAIS’s Delegations for Diversity to India and China/ Taiwan. Kisha joined the ALC in 2015.
