Amy Sayfie Zichella is in her thirteenth year at Ransom Everglades School in Miami, Florida, where she serves as the Director of Admission. She fulfills many roles for SSATB including serving as the co-chair of the CbT(Computer Based Testing) Committee and as a member of the ALC (Admission Leadership Council). Amy started her career in education teaching Middle School and High School English and coaching volleyball, basketball and track. Prior to joining Ransom Everglades School in 2001, she spent five years teaching and coaching at Miami Country Day School. She also was a teacher and Dean of Students for the Summerbridge/Breakthrough Program, designed to inspire at-risk middle school students to recognize and reach their full potential. Amy is very involved in her local community, currently serving or having served on various advisory boards including: The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Young Viscayans, and Junior Opera Guild, and has also been an active volunteer for many organizations including: The Overtown Youth Center, Women of Tomorrow, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Dream in Green. She was named as one of the Top 30 rising stars and young leaders in the City of Miami and was recently named to the Ransom Everglades School Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame. She graduated from Florida State University with a BA in English and Education and a minor in Spanish.
