The Perkiomen School (PA)
Carol graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY in 1983 and went off to teach mathematics and computer science at the Knox School in St. James, NY. After three years at Knox, she moved on to teach at The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA. In her first years at Perk, she was defined the triple threat teaching math or history, coaching field hockey and lacrosse, advising the yearbook, living in the dorm and a little college counseling thrown in for good measure. During those summers, she completed her masters at the University of Hartford. In the summer of 1989, she became the director of admissions. Perkiomen’s enrollment grew from 180 to 275 under her guidance. In 2000, her role expanded to assistant headmaster for external affairs and included overseeing the development office. From 2007 to 2011 while guiding the annual fund efforts, the fund grew by 10% each year. Today, she is the associate headmaster and is responsible for research and strategic planning.
