Senior Director of Leadership Programs and Research
Nicole maintains awareness of the changing needs and emerging opportunities in the independent school community and translates that knowledge into the development of value-added research, education, and support for our members. She collaborates with our membership, marketing, and outreach teams in the creation of industry content and to ensure that information and training advance the enrollment and admission professional. She works with our Admission Leadership Council, Admissions Training Institute faculty, Admission Directors Institute advisors, and special working groups, like the Enrollment Management Think Tank, to help grow industry leadership capacity. Nicole acts as lead writer for many of the organization's research reports. To all these efforts, she brings a finely honed strategic eye and ensures that we remain consistent with our mission and our key goals.
Prior to joining The Enrollment Management Association in 2005, Nicole spent nine years at the Institute for Educational Leadership, a hands-on think tank equipping leaders to rise above institutional barriers and to build effective systems that prepare children and youth for postsecondary education, careers, and citizenship. Nicole began her career as a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America), where she developed after-school enrichment programs for girls living in public housing neighborhoods in Macon, Georgia. She has a BA in cultural anthropology from Boston University and a master’s degree in public administration from James Madison University.
